Honestly, if you like Abba music... put on an Abba CD. The plot's okay but the singing's bad and the acting worse.

Sorry, Captain, I trust you, but I will rent the movie, despite the bad singing and acting. How bad can Meryl Streep act? Sometimes I need a silly and merry movie to keep things going. I'm enjoyng this blog VERY MUCH! Thank you.
Glad you're enjoying the blog! If you don't have a Y chromosome (which I'm assuming you don't as your name's Stella?!?!), there's a chance you may like it anyway.
Let me know!!

Well, dear Captain D, I saw "Mamma Mia! The Movie" today . I do understand your point. I felt uncomfortable when some good artists I admire began singing. I think Olivia Newton-John would be a lovely Donna Sheridan. But I don't regret seeing the movie. Afterall, the scenery is wonderful and Amanda Seyfried is lovely; she acts and sings well.
Bye,
stella
Hi Stella!
I admit that Amanda Seyfried was one of the few to come out of it relatively untarnised... still can't believe people defend the [lack of] quality of the singing though!!!
Cheers,
Dave
