Rockstone Foundation returns with 'Two-Day Filmmakers Seminar'.

Beverly Hills, CA, January 9, 2011 – The Rockstone Foundation Inc (RFI) has rebooted its successful touring filmmaking seminars with the launch of its Two-Day Filmmakers Seminar, it was announced today by Rockstone’s Executive Director Camille Irons Coakley.

After taking a brief hiatus, RFI reboots February 26, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia with its Two-Day Filmmakers Seminar. The intensive, two-day film school will involve a practical analysis of what it takes to make a movie with the means unique to each filmmaker. Taught by filmmaker and educator H. M. Coakley, topics to include writing or optioning scripts, raising capital, setting up a production company, working with actors and below-the-line personnel, directing actors, and DIY distribution. An MFA graduate of Columbia University's prestigious film program, Mr. Coakley is also a writer, producer, director and film distributor who is credited with helping to launch the careers of Oscar winner Adrien Brody (“The Pianist”) and Emmy winner Simon Baker (“The Mentalist”) by casting them in their first leading man roles in his award winning independent film “Restaurant.”

“What most burgeoning moviemakers need is sound advice and navigational tools to get them started on the path to realizing their dreams. And if you’re a moviemaker living outside of Hollywood, breaking into the business can seem doubly challenging,” says Executive Director, Camille Irons Coakley. In order to demystify the business and art of filmmaking, while encouraging aspiring moviemakers, the husband and wife filmmaking team created Rockstone Foundation Inc (RFI) several years ago. To date they have educated hundreds of aspiring filmmakers all over the country.

“After producing the Urban Filmmakers Workshop (UFW) for the past few years, we found that there was an incredible appetite for a more comprehensive format for film training, networking and support amongst aspiring filmmakers. The new RFI Two-Day Filmmakers Seminar was created to help fill this void,” says H. M. Coakley.

Tuition for the sixteen-hour, two-day intensive filmmaking program is $325.00 online or $395.00 at the door. RFI offers discounts to large groups, non-profits, and students. In addition, RFI has an affiliate program for business partners in which partners receive up to $50.00 for each person they refer that register for the class. Other stops on the tour include, New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, New Orleans, Detroit, Miami, San Francisco, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
