Was a little surprised to see the DVD for King of the Railway available so cheaply on Amazon - it seems like only a few months ago that we took our little one to see it at the cinema! I guess it was longer...
But anyway, it was a nice movie, all about the castle at the top of the island of Sodor being rebuilt by its enigmatic owner, the lost crown of Sodor being found again, and the introduction of Steven, a very old train.
I didn't think it was quite as good as Hero of the Rails though, which is by far the best of all the others I've seen. That one just has such a nice plot and mix of characters.
If you have very young children, it's much better value to get the triple pack which has Hero of the Rails along with Calling All Engines! and The Great Discovery. Those other two movies are very much aimed at toddlers though, older children won't enjoy them as much. (My toddler still prefers Hero of the Rails anyway!)
The other two Thomas and Friends movies are Blue Mountain Mystery and Misty Island Rescue - haven't seen either of those yet.
Ah... never knew about this one, but apparently there is also a Thomas and Friends movie called Day of the Diesels as well.
