The sequel to Catsand Dogs clearly had a bigger special effects budget because the quality of the visual effects, which was a little variable in the first film, is very good here. The whole movie has a real slickness to it, with the emphasis shifted much more to a hi-tech, James Bond inspired world of cat and dog agents than the largely domestic setting of the first movie. In fact much of this movie is devoted to spoofing various films that the little ones will have no knowledge of, resulting in a film that is rather a guilty pleasure for parents (while still retaining enough goofball humour for the kiddies”. The name Kitty Galore is in itself a Bond spoof, of course, and that should give you an inkling of the type of parody humour here.
